Literature Text

In the mirror,
A tall, pretty figure.

She has wavy tousled hair,
Framing a round, natural complexion.

A slight smile, like dear Mona's,
And deep mysterious eyes.

Friends may not recognize her,
In that rosy pink dress.

But what is worse,
Is that she does not either.

No, she is not smiling,
It's just a crease in her skin.

The girl is unhappy,
Hidden away under her beauty.

She wants to play in mud,
Not clink teacups.

Bursting of gritty smirks and remarks,
Not delicate compliments and gossip.

Beautiful and pretty,
The words mean nothing.

Shy is just an excuse
For the tight-lipped grin.

So gorgeous and elegant;
So reckless and grimy.

Living only to please,
This beautiful girl is not alive at all.
A while ago I found myself being stuffed into a dress and I was like "HOW DO GIRLS WEAR THESE THINGS?!?"

I'm not exactly the girl in this poem, since that was only a one time deal and it wasn't that terrible, but still. In fact, in all of my work, especially literature, I put myself in there. On what level, it depends, but there's always going to be that hint of me in there.

And if you noticed, I'm uploading a whole crap load of stuff on here all at once...it's because I was looking at some old stuff and was like "I wanna upload this just cause I can" so I did.

This has a lot of feeling, because sometimes I feel the same. Especially my female coworkers. They always get so made up and are such girly girls, when I just wanna go home and write and chill and play with plants and stuff.

But I've noticed that guys love pretty girls who aren't girly!
